1. The content of the web site must be primarily bowling related.
2. The site must fall under the "Web-G" rating - suitable for all ages. (It cannot contain vulgar language, rude, crude, or uncouth statements, sexually explicit, obscene, and/or objectionable material.)
   
3. The web site must not display any intellectual property and/or copyrighted material created by another party that has not granted permission for it's use.
4. No distinction between commercial, public, and personal web sites is made.
   However, as of September 17, 1998 the following stipulations apply to new submissions:
   
   1. The web site shall not be directly involved in the sale of bowling equipment via mail order, telephone, Internet, or any other "remote medium."
      
   2. The web site may contain advertisements for bowling equipment or other web sites. However, these advertisements may not be for a company that is involved in the sale of bowling equipment over the internet or through mail order.
      
   3. All sites submitted and selected after September 17, 1998 agree to obey these above terms. If at sometime a site's owner decides they cannot obey these stipulations they shall voluntarily remove the MBC 12 Strikes Award from their web site and notify us.
      
5. The web site must be updated frequently and old or outdated content must be removed or corrected in a timely matter.
6. All (100%) local or internal links within the site's URL must be active and valid at time of testing.
7. No less than 95% of the site's remote or external links to other web sites may be inactive or invalid at time of testing. (If the site scores less than 95%, two additional attempts will be made on another day and time.)

1. The web site should be easy to navigate, and it's content should be easily found.
2. Web sites with custom created and unique graphics are given preference.
3. The web site's graphic/image (IMG) tags must be complete. The following attribute specifications should be specified on all graphics.
   1. Width - Specifies the image's width in pixels (i.e., WIDTH="100").
   2. Height - Specifies the image's height in pixels (i.e., HEIGHT="100").
   3. Alternative description - For text only browsers (i.e., ALT="A simple description of the graphic").
4. Considerations for accessibility to people with disabilities should be made.
   1. Text equivalents for all non-text elements must be provided (i.e., images, animations, audio, video).
   2. Summaries of graphs and charts should always be included.
   3. Information conveyed with color should also be available without color .
   4. Alternative content for features (e.g., applets or plug-ins) that may not be supported should be provided.
   5. All pages on the site must have a background color (i.e. BGCOLOR="#FFFFFF") assigned within the BODY tag, regardless of the presences or absence of a background image. Web sites with white or very light colored backgrounds are given preference.
   6. The TEXT color (i.e. TEXT="#000000") assigned must be easily read against the background image and the background color.

1. The web site must be already listed in the MBC On-Line Search Engine.
2. The web site must maintain a link to Milton Bowling Center On Line. If you need help on adding a link to Milton Bowling Center please see this page.
3. The web sites must be designed by and the application must be submitted by a person 14 years of age or older. Children 13 and under cannot qualify for the award and may not apply.
4. Persons or Parties cannot pay to be listed as a MBC 12 Strikes Award and we do not alter our reviews in exchange for gifts or monetary gain.
5. Merely meeting or exceeding the our qualifications does not constitute or guarantee a web site being awarded the MBC 12 Strikes Award. Our committee looks for unique sites that set themselves above the rest in a number of categories.
